I tried the CUDA switch with no luck.  Also tried to zap pram but it doesn't
seem to get far enough to recognize the keys being pressed; it never chimes
again.  But the three finger salute (ctrl-cmd-pwr) for a reset works in that
it will reset and chime but still shows no other signs of life.  It's not
sounding promising but thanks for the tips!
