It's good to know it's fairly simple using USB on a S900. As for ink prices, I've never messed with non-Epson cartridges. And yes, prices are steep and the printers need to be used fairly often. Printing everything at 1440 can be a killer and I've done my share of them. Their Matt Heavyweight at 720 dpi has helped cut down on the ink usage.
