The IOGear USB 2.0 cards work well in our machines. I've been using one for quite a while in my S900. It works user OS9 with the Apple drivers and works great under OSX. It is even in slot 5. One thing to note, USB 2.0 will only work if you have OSX (I think 10.1.3+). Under OS9 they will simply be 1.1 cards. The particular model I have is GIC220U
