The premise for my IDE vs. SCSI Inquiry is that the person suggested that
maybe my (IDE-Atapi) DVD-RAM drive may not be recognized under OS 9.1
because it is being seen as SCSI. On the other hand, she wondered if it
could work normally under X because it would be seen as IDE?

This could make sense as the drive does work normally on a regular IDE Bus
on a G4 AGP. However, we didn't check to see how the card was viewed in the
ASP while on my friends system. My guess is it would still be seen as SCSI
under OS 9x. Which if so, could further support this IDE vs. SCSI premise &
problem.
