Yes. Once the NVRAM patches have been loaded you can cold boot the 
system. I do occasionally have a problem getting it to startup, but 
holding down the option key and rebooting from XPF under OS9 fixes 
that. Do note that I cannot cold boot an OSX CD-ROM, I always have to 
use XPF for that. Cold booting a classic CD-ROM will work though.
