Understood Pete, scanner does work in OS9.2.2 no problem.....

Paul, This is a Epson 1200S Perfection, isn't "Vistascan" a Umax app?

Gary, I'm using Version 7.6.5 in OS9 and it works...thats
where Im puzzled, the software "autosenses" the device
no problem, it "calibrates" and scans no problem, when
I boot back into OSX...everything is the same, except
it takes about 2 extra minutes to "sense" the device and just hangs....
the perfection 1200 is terminated as far as I can tell, I have no
problem scanning in OS9.2.2 using Photoshop 6, GC 4.4.4 or
even Omnipage OCR using Epson's twain 4 driver/plug-in,
I cannot get the scanner over this OSX hurdle........
There is some sort of conflict here in the OS.

Epson doesn't have a OSX driver for this scanner
I have scoured the web in search of a "thread" from
someone with a similar problem no luck......again,
I've thought about a scsi to usb adapter, not sure it will work here.
I hate to part with this workhorse of mine. I could go on and on.
Thanks to all....Phillip Meza
