Your machine has plenty of useful life left in it. I run a no-frills,
business from my home...have done so for 10 years. Before my recent
upgrade, I was still using my stock S900 for graphic layout and pre-press
production of printed documents.

Before the renewal, I was seriously contemplating getting something else.
Similar to yours, it was a stock 604e/200 with 96M running OS 8.1--that was
getting a bit tiresome to use.

Many thanks to this group, I decided to keep it. For under $200 bucks I
added a NEW Sonnet Crescendo G3/350/512 processor, a NEW WD 9G UltraWide
SCSI drive for my boot drive (required a $12 68-to-50 pin adapter w/
high-byte termination), OS 9.1, two 128MB Mem sticks (total now is 352M),
and a generic 10/100 ethernet card for faster Internet and networking with
my PCs through my cable router. I couldn't be happier with the machine's
zippy new performance. I figure I can use it for at least a year or two
before donating or selling it.

Let's put it this way...it's not worth much if you try to sell it and the
upgrade components needed to get you up to snuff are cheap. Just my opinion.
