Lots of machines that could have been fixed by this trick have also ended up with new motherboards or at least they paid for new motherboards ;-) > It is also important to member for a full NVRAM reset you need to unplug the machine as well as remove the battery. It is other wise only partly re-set. This only takes 12 min plus. Leaving it plugged in is why some people find letting it set over night with the battery out works. I figured this out in the early days of attempting OSX installs when I was getting the black screen of death every few minutes. Will S
