My general impression is it may be a good idea to have a bit more capacity, which should be inexpensive these days. It's been a while since I saw a figure on how much spaced is used for video. I have a 60 gb external firewire but it's already taken up. For DV, I'm guessing a 80 gb drive may afford a more comfortable workflow.
