I've been the proud papa of two C500's. One, zapped by a two-day brownout
and left outside for dead, came back to life with no sound. As I'd thrown
the
case away, I placed it into a Mac IIci case and added a 240Mhz. CPU. The
second,
this one, has a 280Mhz. CPU, running at 240Mhz., with two $14 64MB RAMsticks
off eBay
and sits under a 17 inch Mac monitor. Takes a bit of time to boot up with
144MB of RAM
but I got all the websurfing power I want.

Odd duck? No. I believe Kennedy and crew made just the right kind of Mac
Clone. And mine
were only about $39 each, too. Best way I know of putting ones self into a
relatively modern
Mac at relatively modern speeds.
