Yes, the c500 will support a USB PCI card. Just get one that says it is 
OHCI compliant. (99.98% of them are). You will need to install 8.5 and 
the upgrade to 8.6 in order to use the card though. 8.5 was the first 
OS that had USB support and 8.6 is a free upgrade that is much more 
stable and has better USB support. You will also need to install the 
USB Card Support software. This is also a free download from Apple. 
Make sure you get ver 1.4.1 of the USB software.
