I'm just the opposite of you - I don't *care* about the performance under OS 
9 as I don't use *it* - except for installing and booting OS 10!   :-)

I did enable "Quartz Extreme" and most screen operations are definitely 
smoother.   QT6.1 is nice - I've watched the movie trailers on Apple's site, 
and they play flawlessly.

I've decided to leave the card in here and just buy another one for my 
secondary Windows machine.   It's a cheap, fast card that is good enough for 
anyone except really hard-core gamers.   My main machine has an ATI All In 
Wonder card (TV tuner/vid capture).    It's an older model but works just 
fine.   I like ATI cards.
