NS 6/7 is slow to startup on any machine. Most browsers based on the 
Mozilla engine are. That is [supposedly] the main reason why Apple went 
with KHTML instead of Gecko as the engine for Safari.

OTH, you might want to goto Mozilla.org and download 1.2, In my 
experiance, it was MUCH faster loading pages and started up faster 
(altough still glacial compared to others).
