I am not an advocate of MS products. BUT, the latest update (5.1.6) of MSIE runs great.

Oh, well.....perhaps it's time to visit MS for a download. I have a friend who is using IE/OE with no problems on his G4. Guess it's been a mental block sortof thing.
I am reluctant to go back to 4.78 because of some features that it (seems) to lack.
Thanks for the nudge,
Alan
I know there's a lot of anti-Redmond sentiment, and can assure you it exists even here in Washington state, but Internet Explorer isn't that bad. In fact, it's better than it needs to be: Microsoft won the browser wars long ago and could have stopped bothering with IE around version 4. Yet each major release gets a little better, and while it is still not fully CSS compliant, it's decent.
As the sometime web person for a small community college library, I want desperately to stop bothering with hacks, kludges, and workarounds to accomodate those who hang onto CSS-limited browsers such as Netscape 4.7x. It's one thing if you're unable to afford a newer machine (which is the case with some of our students), but avoiding a modern browser due to inertia or dislike of Microsloth seems to me like cutting off your nose to spite your face. (FWIW, I keep Netscape 4.72 I think it is around for testing and occasional browsing, so I realize it's not unusable.)
My high hopes for a "public utility" brower aren't being realized in Mozilla, so for the forseeable future, I think we're stuck, for better or worse, with the largesse of Uncle Bill.
Thanks,
George
