The L2 upgrade fits in a slot at the front of the C500's motherboard, up
under the floppy drive. The slot runs left-to-right not front-to-back.

That cache-slot accelerator is available new from Sonnet. A Little pricey
for the relative value of your C500, it does nonetheless offer a great kick
in speed for them. Check Sonnet's wesite. Then see if you can snag one off
eBay for a bargain price.
