William, I'm not sure I am going to be able to help but will try. I also am using a Siig ATA 133 card now. I presently have it in slot 1 but also had it working fine in slot 5.
I've searched back through the 'finding HD' posts but not quite certain what your exact problem is. As for the Siig card showing up as Acard in the ASP, that is normal as inferred by Alan Kim. The card and main chip are made by Acard. My Siig shows as Acard as well. So if your Siig is simply being seen as Acard, all is well and you need not do any switching or anything else. One step you should also take regardless, if you are installing a new ata card, which you might have already done, is to go through the cuda process. This will clear up any remnants of info your computer may be holding about your old card. If you haven't pressed the cuda and need proper steps, let us know and someone will chime in if I don't see it first. Now if the drives are not showing up is your problem. You might first try updating the drivers using 'Update Driver' in the Drive Setup app. Then restart the computer and see if that works. I suppose disk drivers can become corrupted when switching ATA cards so it might be a good idea to do this and it is harmless too. Hope this helps.
