Well it appears you do have the latest firmware so that probably isn't the issue with the exception of firmware corruption which we will forget about for now since the card does show up. Once the drive does shows up too, it will be under the same SCSI Probe buss window as the ACARD. > 3 ACARD CN2490 V2.14
So Will, hich different drive jumper settings have you tried? You stated "Slave-master jumper in right place-got diagrams from IBM." but this probably isn't what you want because that would require you to have another drive (as slave) on the same cable. (Some cables have two plugs) Does yours have one or two, not counting the end you plug into the card? If it has two plugs, just make sure to use the one at the end of the cable. I found a page with a description of the jumper settings for your drive. This should help out. http://www.hgst.com/hdd/support/d120gxp/d120gxpjum.htm Following this, make sure you have tried 'Master' jumper settings as shown in the diagram under "16 Logical Head Settings". Use the A-B and G-H jumpers. See how this works. If for some reason it doesn't work, then shut down and try the 'Cable Select' settings in the same section and reboot.
