Definitely something I'm going to be taking seriously, that's why the mini clean room (ie, clean-box w/ gloves through wall, plexiglass case, maybe a fine material vacuum). But before I do any of this, i'm going to first try swapping the logic board from the good matching drive I bought. It would be my hope that maybe with the bearing going out, it will still turn but did damage to my logic board. So maybe I will get lucky. I can only hope. Then if not, maybe I will try JS Garrison's method to give it a little push. I will 'live' if in the end none of this works, but hey, I gotta try.
