Is there a way to check tosee if the L2 cache is functioning properly? > 2. I've seen this with aging power supplies, although that's not the only > possible explanation. I haven't found a correlation between how long it's been off and having to double clutch, but to be honest with you, I haven't been looking for a correlation. I'll give your test a try tonight. > 3. The problem doesn't show up until I try to print on my LW 300. Are the drivers for the LW 300 and the LW 300 L/S the same? FWIW I didn't try pressing the CUDA Reset button. I'll give it a shot. >From Jeff Walther: > Is the CD-ROM drive at the physical end of the SCSI cable? I, too, thought the cable might have been an issue, but I'm using the suspect cable now and everything is fine. Makes me wonder if the original HD would have worked if I had pulled the terminator off of it and allowed the CD-ROM to be the terminal. Can you explain the difference between "term power" and "termination?" Anyway, it's no big deal on the original HD. It's only a 2 gig size, pretty puny by today's standards. > ASP is often poor at reporting speed.
