Barb,
I am currently trying to get to 9 from 8.6 on my S900. I have had issues
with CD and system errors. I have not been successful yet... but I am close.
I have found out that you need to start up from a floppy that has the
Matishu/Umax CD extention in the system's extention folder (I could e-mail
you the files off list).
Then you are able to read the CD so you can install it on your start up
disk.
This is where my problems start... The install usually starts just fine.
after about 15 min or so I get a "Missing Tome" error that will not let me
continue the install (However, I think this is due to an error on the burned
CD I have).
Hope this helps! Many people from this list have helped me get this far and
are running 9.2, even X, so I'm sure it can be done.
