If I am not mistaken, these two are mutually exclusive problems.
Using the helper will not resolve the non-ROM'd drive issue.

Based info that were shared at this List, some would argue the benefits of
going through the trouble of installing 9.2 on a s900.
My impression is, for the effort, you are better off leaping to X directly from
9.1, also using a helper app Xpostfacto.

As for installing 9.1, you will still have to deal with the non-rom'd factory
drive.
If it turns out it is formattable using Drive Setup, then you are good to go.
