I bought a PowerLogix G3 900 upgrade from OWC Feb 8th and have been struggling since then to install.
Yesterday I downloaded the "G3G4CacheProfiler1.5" from PowerLogix to the hard drive I set up to the boot drive.
I then out found I had been mislead by the CD that came with the Carrier Card from Daystar. The CD had a Cache Control installer that turns out wont work with my S900.
Now it is mostly OK but not fully checked as yet.
It would appear that the "G3G4CacheProfiler1.5" may not be compatible with the G900 CPU. Powerlogix's "Cache Director 1.3" is made for it and works in both OS 9 and OSX. It lets you set CPU speed on the fly using the software and is specially made for the G3 FX CPU .My guess is many of your issues were perhaps from needing this software for things to work correctly. PS Powerlogix's support has been reported as lacking by many. It could be as simple as too few people getting too many questions.
