I didn't think anyone made a dual card for these machines? All the
ones I've seen are for the original G4 machines with at least a100speed bus. By the time you fabricate something, plus programthe code for the dual for a non-AGP machine it'd be cheaper to buy a used dual IMHO. I'm all for upgrades, but there comes a time when they are no longer cost effective. Paul C, Supermacs list
I think XLR8 sold a dual G4 for the first PCI macs for a short time. They certainly announced it and sent samples out for evaluation (Mike Breeden tested one). I can't remember whether they ever made it to market, but if they did, they were pulled again pretty quickly.
In the broader picture, I agree, if one has a true need for dual G4s it will be cheaper in the long run (especially if your time is worth anything) to buy a dual G4 model.
OTOH, if one just wants to have the bragging rights of having a dual G4 in the S900, that's another kettle of fish not subject to logic or trade off arguments.
