Upgrades that go astray are always frustrating.
You and I have exchanged some off-list emails, but I think you would be much better off with the messages going to this list. I do not object to trying to help you personally. But, there is a fantastic collection of knowledge here in this group.
That said, I am getting confused. You have mentioned several different PCI cards in the messages you sent to me off-list, as well as a G3 upgrade, and a need for more RAM.
Could you give us a better picture of what you started with and what is in the machine now? Processor upgrade, cards in the PCI slots, RAM, and OS version. Also, on the front of your machine does it say C600 or is it a C600x?
When your start up fails, does the system just sort of hang, or do you get a dialog box? If it hangs, have any extensions loaded? If so, can you tell us what the last one loaded was? If you got a dialog box, what did it say?
You mentioned that you have tried turning off various extensions. If the system is failing at start up, what are you doing in order to get into the extensions to switch them about? (as in starting up with extensions off)
With a broader picture of your system, I suspect the collective minds here will soon sort out your problem.
