I made my S900 purchase about the same time. The S900 was about half the 
price of the 9600 if I remember correctly. My wife had an "Apple" credit 
card and earned enough "points" to get a 17" Multiscan Monitor free. We 
both must be packrats- I still have all the original packaging too. Paul C

During the peak of the cloning activity Umax was a formidable threat 
to Apple, or it seemed.
I bought my s900 AFTER the announcement of the end of the clones and 
shortly before Umax shut down.
No regrets for six years and is now semi-retired but in good working 
order with original packaging intact.
