Did they send a new adapter? The problem may be in
> the adapter. It sounds like the thing has a short to > the Power-on signal in the ADB bus.

Yes Jeff, they were actually so nice they sent a brand new container with everything inside just as I had purchased at the store.
I had taken off the old trackball including the adapter, & put on the new stuff they sent. When I still had the same problems, that's when I swiched to a new keyboard, thinking maybe it could be a ruined plugg-in (where you plug the trackball into the keyboard) But that still didn't fix the problem...
Would you have another thought?
