Without a specific device driver, Mac OS 9 or earlier will recognize the
cursor position, "mouse down," and "mouse up" events; Mac OS X 10.2 and
later will also recognize a second button as a "ctl-click."

Do you have a defective ADB port? Try the other one ;)

Do you have a defective/dirty ADB port? Or is there PRAM or device driver
corruption? Try resetting PRAM first; if no relief, then do the CUDA
reset--hopefully that won't have a too negative an impact on XPostFacto...

Is this under Mac OS 9.x or X10.3x?

FWIW, I have found that the path of least resistance works for me: hang on
to the best ADB keyboard, and go with USB for all other input devices. This
has saved me so much grief:
