Hello,
I am trying to hook an external usb harddrive with a
maxtor 160 gb drive in a usb enclosure. I want to
transfer some video amd music files from a PC -- yes,
I know the USB is extremely slow -- to my S900, which
is currently running 9.1 with a pci usb card. When
the external drive is plugged into the S900 it reads
the drive okay, but when I try to do a PC data format,
it only reads 24 gbs. I have tried formatting the
drive on the PC with windows XP, but the S900 will
only wants to initialize or eject the external drive.
Is there a way to format the drive using the full
capacity and allow both machines to read it? Thanks
for your help.
Jack Law
