At approximately 4:15 AM (ET) this morning (I was up at that hideous hour, don't ask), and, following Wil's instructions to throttle the CPU, I'd like to announce that I, even I, have somehow managed to get Jag-wire running (quite stable I might humbly add) on the S900. Oh joy..oh bliss that Firefox finally can run and the distributed.net client is current!!
On a further note, Jag is running on a 2 gig partition and so I must learn not to treat the HD as a dumpster. The HDs (there are two) are 1.5 and 4 gigs so space is limited. I'm biting the bullet and getting an IDE card plus HD grumbling noticeably over the Mac specific firmware issue I raised a couple of weeks ago. But OWC is still selling the 128 MB RAM sticks for 15.75 so I'll help myself to a few of those, too. Oh yeah, Larry is also selling Panther full install sets for $75. I don't know how, either.
