I have a "SIIG Ultra ATA 133/100 Pro for Mac" bought at a local mac store for around $70 that is backward compatible with slower/older ATA 100/66/33 drives as well as ATAPI devices which use Toast burning software. The box suggests checking compatibility list at siig.com.
Bought it to for a 80gb drive that went into a 7500, so I have no experience with running a CD drive.
