Ok....now that I've managed to stir up some excitement from fellow geezers, who remembers HeathKits and Dynaco and still own some of their products that are still functioning ?

Up until recently, we enjoyed a HeathKit TV that Ron built years ago. The HK stereo is still going strong, along with some "modern" additions, like a CD component.

As we were setting up the new flat screen TV, on top of the dead HeathKit cabinet, Ron said "You know you are a hillbilly when your new TV is sitting on top of your old dead one."

The HeathKit is in a lovely cabinet that Ron made, which I would not let him pitch when the thing bit the dust. He thinks he can install a new TV into the cabinet. We shall see.

Oh, crap, what have I started.

A nice discussion, it has been way to quite around here lately!

Nancy
