As Will S. pointed out, Netscape will not properly work with many web sites.

Also, I don't know your internet connection setup, but if you're using the DSL modem without a router and connecting via MacPoet, that is one buggy software that can cause freezes.

IE worked quite well for a while until I switched to Panter earlier this year and have been using Safari since.
