hey folks,
i just picked up a used 21" color monitor made by SUPERMAC, model #thz8175sktkw. i don't even know if it works, because it has a video connector i have never seen before. it is not VGA, nor is it like the old mac video. i tried to attach a small jpg image, but the list will not accept the email. i can send pix to anyone off-list who might have an answer. in the meantime, i will attempt to describe it.
the connector is wider that the old mac video, it has two rows of five pins in the middle, and what look like miniature RCA-type audio plugs on either end, two on the right and one on the left.
is anyone familiar with this connector? can you name it? where can i get a cable to connect it to a video card with a VGA output? anyone have an old cable they are not using? or maybe an adapter? if i knew what this connector was called, i could try griffin tech for an adapter.
the monitor also has a round mac serial port on the back. what is that about?
it also has a power manager switch, and a switch for separate H&V, composite H&V, and sync on green. ( i understand what these do, just including for complete info.)
thanks in advance,
john
