As mentioned, in OS 9 it'll only run as USB 1. Also, any of the "combo"
cards(multiple function) will require one of the top two slots in the
S900 due to the bridge chip they contain. Paul C

Depends on the controller. Most likely, tho, it will work.
OS X will work with the USB 2.0 ports. In OS 9, they will operate at
only 1.0 speeds. Firewire should work fine in either OS, so long as
the drivers are installed.
Generally, USB/Firewire cards made for that other platform will also
work in a Mac without issue.
Hope that helps,

Does anyone have any experience with these combo firewire usb 2.0 cards
with 8 ports. The listings on ebay all say they are only compatible
with the evil empire. I thought USB 2.0 and Firewire was standard since
OS9.
I want to put one of these in my s900 running 9.22.
Any help would be appreciated.
