I picked up a router/Switch for about $13.50 net a few months ago.
It's by GigaFast and seems to work fine. I have not tested it
extensively, as I really only needed the DHCP server aspect to make
my Sound Bridge work on the network with my iTunes server. However,
it seems to have all the features one expects. I think most do these
days.
It has a four port 10/100 switch built in as well.
I just shopped Newegg.com for routers until I found the cheapest
model that looked like it would do what I wanted. If you just need
the basics, then they all do what you want and the control interface
is generally web based, so you don't need a PC, just an ability to
follow instructions when entering IP addresses to access through your
web browser.
