Carlos, "Top"s look ok. I also tried a camera with the 8.1.2 firmware and my PC - streaming works at 1920x1088.
Sorry, I forgot to ask you to check a few more things: 1. You should have a usb-serial cable - could you connect it and send us the camera boot log? And also the info the camera writes when the streamer is working. 2. Command "top" right after the boot + before/after you launch mplayer could be helpful.
