OK will give that a try again. I did try that but it did not work,
but maybe I missed something.

from the instructions you've given, under Server
Settings, the Server Name should be:
pop.att.yahoo.com
the User Name should be:
[email protected]
the Port needs to be changed to:
995
and make sure that SSL is checked.
Now, if that doesn't work, then try checking "Use
secure authentication"
