email and newsgroups are two different things. They're
not the same, as they use different protocols. For
example, when you send mail, it uses something called
SMTP. When you receive mail, it uses POP3, and when you
send and receive newsgroup messages, then its using
NNTP. Newsgroups don't use email protocols. That is
why news works and not mail.
