When you do, cite some specific examples of pages where it does not
work.  I'm not having any problems at all in my usage.

How about Suntrust, Bank of America, Chase, Franklin income, Discover
All https sites. of all of these only Suntrust responds even to the Bookmarklet. On some sites you could save the Username with password Manger but not the password on all these sites. with the bookmarklet you could save both. only one of the items before that would work now work and that is Suntrust.
