Monica, when you delete a message from your mail inbox, it is not really
deleted, just some of the coding in the message header is changed, so
SeaMonkey knows not to display the message title.

To really delete the message, you should select File->Empty Trash and
then File->Compact files.

Try this and see if that gets rid of your virus.

Thanks, that finally did the trick! Have to remember to compact folders! I just to get reminders/requests if I would like to compact folders, but I don“t see that any more. Does anyone know if it is a setting somewhere?
