I have no idea what this means. Perhaps you don't have your e-mail or newsgroup accounts setup in your 2.X profile yet? > > My Desktop ICONs point to executable files. Great. If when you launch SM, you don't get the version you think you should, use the task manager as a way to see if you currently have an instance running. Really though, if you don't have the SM 1.1.X quick launch configured, and there are no browser windows visible (on the window or in the task bar) then you're probably good to go. >> >> Note that there is a way to run both at the same time, but this >> requires some additional effort, which I didn't mention as you >> said you didn't want to run them both at the same time. > > I will make this change as soon as I know that both systems are loaded > and working properly--one version at a time. In fact you probably don't want to do this at all. Unless you feel you need to do this for some reason, just don't do it. Your plan should be to eventually have just one version of SM on the computer. As soon as you are comfortable with SM 2.X, then stop running SM 1.1.X (and fix up the 'leave messages on server', etc.). >> >> I don't know about where 2.X places it's profile info, so the above >> may or may not be correct. You shouldn't have to worry about the location of the profiles. Each version of SM will work with the correct profile. If I were you, I would just ignore the profiles for now. > > Thanks to you, I now have working ICONs on my Desktop for both versions. > Thank you, thank you, thank you. Otherwise, I'm not sure what is going on with that. _______________________________________________ support-seamonkey mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
