I recall seeing somewhere a way to do this but cannot find it ...
Sometimes I'd like to be able to have only my Browser open and not have E-mail checking in the background. E-mail seems to check even when the E-mail window is not open. The reason is that sometimes I receive large files with pictures (usually political cartoons and the like) and that can clog things up for streaming video.
