Louis, I do not have a Trash folder on my Local Folders account just
one on my Mail account...Why did you make your Junk folder as a
Sub-folder of your Trash folder?? I'm guessing the first time you
empty your Trash Folder, you will also lose your Junk folder.

When I created the Junk folder, I probably did not pay attention to what
I highlighted on the left. Since I can confirm that the folder contains
"Junk" from parties from whom I do not want to hear, I can probably
empty and eliminate that Junk folder. Correct?
If the unwanted junk folder remains even if totally empty, you may have
to remove the Junk.msf file related, SM should be closed before.
