Eh, not sure what you mean about starting a new thread, 'cause I
didn't. I've only replied to this one.

Well, I suppose there are ways to reply where the thread is broken. I seem to recall that the Google groups interface is one of these ways.

A properly threaded message will have things like this in the full headers (example taken from another message that does thread correctly, namely my last reply to you):

References: <a686200e-b738-4328-a55f-617f94ed6...@glegroupsg2000goo.googlegroups.com>

In-Reply-To: <a686200e-b738-4328-a55f-617f94ed6...@glegroupsg2000goo.googlegroups.com>

Yours has none, so my reader (SeaMonkey News) can't associate your message with the others in the thread. It doesn't use the subject line as a human might, it uses these message identification numbers.

It's also helpful when replying to quote the previous post so other readers can see what you're replying to and follow the conversation. Remember that this isn't a one-on-one chat; other people might either have a contribution to make or be able to learn from ours.

Changing the paper type to 1 appears to have worked. Thanks. Not sure
how it got changed 'cause I normally don't go about editing the prefs
file and I certainly wouldn't have changed the paper_data to 246.

Glad that helped. I don't know why, either.
