Dang. This will be a problem for me since I manually copy my bookmarks
and other files (addressbooks and mails) between computers' SM2 (do keep
the same versions updated on all machines). Why is places.sqlite keeping
specific details like OS'?
places.sqlite does not contain OS info (I never said that, quite the
contrary if you care to re-read my reply). You just need to make sure to
use it with equal versions (e.g. SM 2.1 and FF 4.0) since major app
versions may come with updated SQLite version, which may contain
incompatible changes (like from SM 2.0 to SM 2.1).
