There will be a 2.0->2.2 update offer within the week, there is
absolutely no harm in updating to 2.2 directly.
There will be no 2.2.1 or 2.1.1.
You are right in that 2.1 would have been better called 2.5 or
something, but the realization came much too late in our process for us
to feel comfortable changing it.
