The following is based on using Thunderbird, but I think most (all?) of this is also applicable to SeaMonkey's Mail-News. Open the Settings window for any account. You should see all the accounts listed. Select any account, turning any - sign next to the account name to a + sign. For that account, select Synchronization & Storage. There, you can set expiration days. If you want to make an exception for a particular newsgroup in a newsgroup account or folder in an E-mail account, select the newsgroup or folder, right-click, and select Properties from the pull-down context menu (which is NOT the same as Windows file and folder properties). On the Folder Properties window, select the Retention Policy tab, clear the checkmark in the "Use my account settings" checkbox, and then enter your desired expiration settings. By the way, please format your signature so that the line above it is "-- " (dash-dash-space). You have only "--" (dash-dash), which does not comply with RFC 3676. See my signature below. -- David E. Ross <http://www.rossde.com/> On occasion, I might filter and ignore all newsgroup messages posted through GoogleGroups via Google's G2/1.0 user agent because of spam from that source. _______________________________________________ support-seamonkey mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
