How many users have they lost? How many users do you think they have?
As a computer specialist I care for the computers of about 10 people.
So far I always install them SeaMonkey yet lately 3 asked me to
replace SeaMonkey with another browser (Chrome) because of flickering.
So my personal survey shows 30% of the users. In general it's probably
no as high as mine yet no question SeaMonkey is loosing users.
Chrome loses users to Opera, Opera loses users to Firefox, Ford loses
users to Chevy, Chevy loses users to Toyota, Firefox loses users to
Chrome or SeaMonkey or some other browser, Thunderbird loses users to
SeaMonkey (I was one of them).
SeaMonkey loses users because an ISP can't get it's spam detection
right, so the user has to use web mail, to check if anything important
is going to their Spam folder, and finds that things they mark as Spam,
still get into the Inbox, even after being repeatedly marked as Spam.
User goes and configures KNode to read newsgroups, finds they don't like
the fact they can't see the read messages because the font is too light,
so decides to use Pan instead., finds its disadvantages, and is
conflicted on whether they should continue using it, and a separate RSS
Feed newsreader, or just stick with SeaMonkey which does both, has a
calendar, and does f=f (sometimes correctly) which KNode and Pan do not.
In which case SeaMonkey gets a user back, even though they still have to
use Pan for reading binary newsgroups, because SM doesn't AFAIK.
So today I will be one of the 100,000 or so total worldwide active users
of SeaMonkey., and the millions of active users of Firefox.
