This has been mentioned several times yet no progress is visble at
all. No question SeaMonkey is loosing users because of this, lots of
users. Why isn't anyone working on this?
Is it always the same page? Your start page, perhaps? Give a URL to a
page where you see this flicker.
www.ogame.de is one I remember but I've seen more. I'll send more as
soon as I see others.
I examined this site with 2.4.1 and saw no flickering. Since I don't
have an account there, I was restricted to just a few pages, but did
look at several pages, including selecting "USA" in the countries menu.
Same for Firefox 7.0.1 and Opera 11.52. But I'm not using Windows.
The page was a tiny bit slow to load, so some parts showed later in the
loading process. The "trailer" Flash video in the center blinked a
couple of times before ready to start. The "GAMEFORCE" thing in the
upper left seems to arrive last. I don't know if you'd consider that a
flicker.
I'd more suspect your video driver or something else in your OS.
I suspect not, neither FF nor Chrome or Opera flickers.
Since I don't see anything I'd consider a flicker, I can only guess it
is something in the Windows version only.
Re: "SeaMonkey is loosing users" -- that would be "losing" <g>,
"loosing" means "un-tightening".
