Are the files for SM 2.72 in locations that most [or possibly all]
backup programs will copy them automatically in Windows 7? Or will I
have to copy them separately to be sure?

Your SeaMonkey profile folder is located within a directory Windows designates for user data, so if a backup program doesn't back it up, it's a stupid backup program.

If you're referring to backing up the actual program files, my advice is not to bother. You can always get the program from the SeaMonkey website.

As for which program is the best backup program in general, you should ask that somewhere else.
